The
Destination Kona Coast Aloha Volunteers greet cruise ship passengers
and other visitors at the Aloha Booth on the Kona Pier every cruise
ship day. The Aloha Booth is open from 07:30 - 2:00 on cruise
ship days. Each volunteer is scheduled one or more times a month
for a shift of 2 to 3 hours. Aloha Volunteers can be recognized
by our matching aloha wear and name badges. Our main mission is
to assist visitors so that they experience the true "Aloha Spirit"
of the Port of Kona & enjoy their visit to Historic Kailua Village.
We provide information about shuttle buses, rentals cars, restaurants,
shops, driving directions, & so many more things that cannot be
listed here.
Many volunteers are
full-time Kona residents while others live in Kona several months
each year.
